The next idea was to make the app a lightweight doorway into the rest of SOAPS Zone without trying to cram the whole website into an Android application.
The browser module offered six possible tabs: SOAPS Zone, Forum, Facebook, YouTube, Music and Calendar. The driver could choose any combination, and only the selected tabs would appear. Those choices would persist, and changing them would update the browser without requiring a restart.
We also deliberately kept the destinations configurable instead of burying URLs throughout the interface. The browser container and the list of destinations were separate pieces, which meant a site or service could change later without forcing a redesign.
The larger idea was convenience. Gig drivers already bounce among too many apps. If SOAPS Zone was going to add useful material to that ecosystem, it had to reduce friction rather than add another pile of tabs nobody wanted.
