App 14 – Turning the App Into a Platform for Structured Field Tests

The research idea from Prompt 2 became a real product module in Prompt 14.

Testing Projects would list structured, data-driven tests with a purpose, applicable platform, workflow steps, expected effort, the data being collected and whether recording was required. Before starting, the driver would see all of that and explicitly opt into that specific project.

Starting a test would attach a test ID to a normal GigDriver session rather than invent a separate recording system. At the end, the driver could review observations, timestamps, notes and the recording reference before submission. If no real server existed yet, the app would save a clearly marked pending submission instead of pretending a backend existed.

One boundary remained absolute: opting into one test did not turn ordinary recordings into research data. Project association and consent had to be explicit each time. That kept the research capability powerful without quietly changing the meaning of normal app use.
