Copyright, Open Reuse & Fair Dealing Policy

Last revised — August 21, 2026

Our Own Material

Unless a specific item says otherwise, original SOAPSzone text may be quoted, excerpted, discussed, and republished with reasonable attribution to SOAPSzone and a link back to the original when practical.

Third-Party Material

Open reuse of SOAPSzone material does not grant rights in photographs, screenshots, documents, quotations, artwork, video, audio, trademarks, or other material owned by someone else.

Fair Dealing and Reporting

SOAPSzone may quote, reproduce, describe, or display portions of third-party material when permitted by law, including for reporting, criticism, review, research, education, or other lawful purposes.

Do Not Remove Context

Reuse should not materially distort the meaning of SOAPSzone’s work or present edited material as though it were the complete original.

Commercial Reuse

Reasonable reuse with attribution is welcome. Large-scale commercial republication, syndication, or reuse that substitutes for the original work may require permission. We will send Rufus, who knows how to properly salivate.

Attribution

A simple credit such as “SOAPSzone.ca” with a link to the source is normally enough for ordinary reuse of original SOAPSzone material.

Supporting Documents

A document published by SOAPSzone may still belong to a company, government body, source, photographer, or other rights holder. Its presence on our site does not automatically make it ours to license.

Corrections Travel Too

If you reuse material that SOAPSzone later materially corrects, please update the reused version when practical.

Human Translation

Phew — a lot of legalese. The short version: share our work responsibly, credit us, and do not assume we own everybody else’s stuff.
