A screen recorder is much less useful if the driver has to keep jumping back into the recorder app to control it.
The tenth prompt added a small movable overlay that could remain visible on top of the delivery app while a recording was active. It showed status and elapsed time, provided a Stop control, and introduced a one-tap Mark action for moments the driver might want to find later. It could collapse into a tiny indicator and remember where the user had placed it.
The overlay was deliberately subordinate to the recorder. It did not get its own competing state machine. If recording ended, the overlay disappeared. If Android overlay permission was denied, recording still had to work through the normal notification or app controls.
This was an early driver-attention decision: put the smallest useful control close to the work instead of forcing the user to navigate away from it.
