DoorDash’s Canadian footprint is easy to describe loosely and harder to describe precisely. “Available in Canada” does not tell a driver which communities have meaningful order volume, which services are offered, or how many people are actually working on the platform.
We want to trace DoorDash’s Canadian expansion and build a current map of its reach. That includes cities and smaller markets, restaurant versus shopping delivery, areas where coverage appears on a map but activity is thin, and whatever reliable figures can be found about Canadian Dashers.
The workforce number will require particular care. Registered, approved, recently active and full-time-equivalent drivers are very different measures. We will not turn one into another because a headline needs a big number.
The finished article should become a baseline for later Canadian reporting: where DoorDash operates, how the business arrived here, where the service is strong or patchy, and what we actually know—and do not know—about the people delivering for it.
