Story Idea #052 – Proven Little Things Delivery Drivers Have Done to Increase Their Tips
Drivers trade endless advice about tips: send a message, use a warmer bag, place the order carefully, add a thank-you note, avoid unnecessary contact, communicate delays. The problem is separating charming anecdotes from things that actually improve outcomes.
We want to collect small driver practices that can be tied to evidence—before-and-after records, repeated experience across many deliveries, customer feedback or platform features that make the result measurable. We are just as interested in popular tricks that appear to do nothing.
The story will avoid tactics that pressure customers, manipulate ratings or turn every delivery into a sales performance. Good service should still feel like good service.
The most useful findings may be boring: accurate communication, food temperature, clean presentation and following instructions. But if somebody has discovered a weird little habit that consistently improves tips, we want the numbers—not just the legend.
